Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Memorandum of cooperation between ANAS Institute of Literature and Center for Cultural Studies, Ministry of Culture and Tourism was signed.

At the signing ceremony, Vice-President of ANAS, Director of the Institute of Literature, Academician Isa Habibbeyli spoke about the purposeful work carried out in the sphere of humanitarian policy in Azerbaijan and underlined the special attention of the country's leadership given to the culture and literature, as well as all other areas.

Speaking about trends in the development of scientific research conducted by the Institute of Literature, Academician Isa Habibbeyli brought to the fore the importance of the successful research in the field of multiculturalism.

Academician Isa Habibbeyli stressed the importance of the publication of certain books and journals, scientific papers, conducting joint scientific and popular activities in the framework of cooperation and spoke about the importance of joint activities of the institute and center in the priority areas of science and culture.

Director of the Scientific and Methodological Center for Cultural Research, PhD in political sciences Asif Usubaliyev expressed confidence in achieving good results in the framework of cooperation.

In conclusion, between two structures signed a memorandum of cooperation. The document was signed by Academician Isa Habibbeyli and Asif Usubaliyev.

The memorandum provides for the maintainig, study and promotion of the samples of cultural heritage of Azerbaijan included into Representative List of the tangible and intangible heritage by UNESCO, supporting joint initiatives of sustainable public policies on promotion of worldwide successful development of culture of the republic and the historical traditions of the people, as well as detection of rare specimens of the national press in foreign archives, delivery of their electronic version, the preparation of encyclopedia "The Chronicles of the Azerbaijan national press" and the creation of its electronic version.

Establishment of the working group of experts in execution of arrangements between the parties is planned.
