Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Manager of project dubbed “Azerbaijan mugam: historical roots, philosophy and performance traditions”, which was winner of grant competition by Science Development Foundation under AR in 2013, employee of the Institute of Architecture and Art, Dr. Study of art Sevil Farhadova and project executor, PhD in study of art Yegane Bayramli were on a scientific mission to Iran Islamic Republic.

Business mission aimed to study development scope of mugam tradition. Azerbaijani scientists met with several cultural figures, including mugam performes in Tehran, held exchange of views on their attitude to mugam and tradition of protecting mugam in Iran.

Azerbaijani scientists got acquainted with rare copies of literature, conveying richness of medieval ages and useful for mugam study in “National library”. In addition, they visited “Azerbaijan culture temple”, promoting Azerbaijan music in Tehran.
