Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Head of International Relations Department, ANAS Presidium Administration, PhD in geology-mineralogy, Assoc. Prof Gulam Babayev and head of Division of Relations with academic organizations of the foreign countries Bunyamin Seyidov met with Deputy Head of the International Relations Department of the French Academy of Sciences Ms Miriam Leroux and the organization's foreign affairs chief, Caesar Manrique Milla.

While meeting, were discussed activities of ANAS, existed ties among scientists of both countries, and carried out research works. Meanwhile, similarities and differences between two scientific organizations were analyzed, defined collaboration prospects.

In a meeting, academies received initial agreement on cooperation.

Note that, founded by King Ludwig XIV of France in 1666, and preparing to celebrate the 350th anniversary in the next year, French Academy of Sciences is of the supreme scientific institution which collaborates with many countries around the world.
