Nobel Prize laureate, an honorary member of ANAS, Professor of Biochemistry and Biophysics at the US University of North Carolina, world-famous scientist Aziz Sancar met with the scientists working in the scientific institutions and organizations of ANAS. 

The president of ANAS academician Isa Habibbeyli made a speech at the meeting held in the electronic conference hall of the Institute of Literature of ANAS named after Nizami Ganjavi. The academician said that an outstanding professor Aziz Sancar was the pride of the whole Turkic World. 

The academician noted that the international scientific conference titled “Lessons of the path leading to Nobel Prize: myths, realities, success, and challenges” was held last year with the organization of the Presidium of ANAS. The main objective of the conference was to inform the young scientists and the new generation about the world’s practice of the Nobel Prize, discuss difficulties, obstacles, psychological euphoria, success, and challenges on the road to the Nobel Prize and correctly direct our scientists and writers to the scientific directions of the Nobel Prize. The president of ANAS said that Azerbaijani scientists should not be afraid to continue their activities in this direction and must work hard towards the Nobel Prize.

The academician said that the meeting of the Azerbaijani scientists with Aziz Sancar would help them to overcome the difficulties and psychological obstacles in the path leading to the Nobel Prize.

Nobel Prize laureate, an honorary member of ANAS expressed his gratitude to the leadership of ANAS for the invitation and said that he was always pleased with the attention he received in Azerbaijan.
