Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

The Nobel Prize laureate in chemistry, honorary member of ANAS, Professor of Biochemistry and Biophysics at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, Aziz Sancar and director of the Institute of Manuscripts of ANAS named after Muhammad Fuzuli, Teymur Karimli, visited the Huseyn Javid’s House-Museum.

Director of the Museum, doctor of philological sciences, Gulbaniz Babakhanli, acquainted the guests with the world of Huseyn Javid. She gave information about the personal belongings of Javid, who played a major role in Azerbaijan and Turkic Literature and his family. The guests also viewed the exhibits of the great figures: National Leader Heydar Aliyev, Uzeyir Hajibeyov, Fikrat Amirov, Muslim Magomayev and others, who had visited small rooms of Javid’s House before.

A book “Javid’s Wisdom: selected aphorisms” was presented to Aziz Sancar.

The photos were taken as a remembrance of the day.

Aziz Sancar wrote his heartfelt words and a signature quote “May Allah protect the Turks!” in the Memory Book of the Museum.
