Employees of “Azerbaijan National Encyclopedia” Scientific Center awarded the Honorary Titles

On December 29, on the occasion of 50th anniversary of “Azerbaijan National Encyclopedia” Scientific Center, employees of scientific venture were granted the Honorary Titles for merits in preparation and publication of the encyclopedia.

Opening the awarding ceremony President of ANAS, Academician Akif Alizadeh informed on the activity directions of “Azerbaijan National Encyclopedia” Scientific Center and stated that, widely reflection of Azerbaijan culture, literature, art as well as data related in notable figures increases the significanse of the encyclopedia.

Recently, by the order of AR President, several employees of the Scientific Center were awarded in connection with 50th anniversary and it was the result of high respect shown to Azerbaijan scientists, noted A.Alizadeh.

Academician also recommended to conduct electron version of National Encyclopedia and to create english version of editions prepared by Scientific Center.

Awarding ceremony was attended by director of the aforementioned Center, Vice-President of ANAS, Academician Tofig Nagiyev, heads of departments and divisions of ANAS Presidium Administration and others.

In closing, Acad. Akif Alizadeh presented Honorary Titles “For serving to motherland” order, “Tereggi” medal, “Honored Journalist” and “Honored Art Worker” to a group of employees of the Center.
