“Shaman-hero archetype in Azerbaijan folklore (“Asli-Karam” and “Dede Gorgud”)” book by chief department of the Institute of Folklore, Dr. Philology Seyfaddin Rzasoy, was released.

Shaman-hero archetype, one of the mainstream structural models of Azerbaijan/Oguz/Turk ethno cosmic cognition, has been renovated based on second boy of epics “Asli-Karam” and “Dede Gorgud”. The analysis was carried out solely on the information in the text, so ritual-mythological information of the text allowed the reconstruction of archetype, formula and present schemes of cosmological cognition at a current level.
