The scientific secretary of the Vice-Presidents' Office of the Presidium Administration of ANAS, Doctor of biological sciences and docent Tubukhanim Gasimzade participated in the international event dedicated to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the Convention on Biological Diversity as an expert.

The event focused on studying the connection between biodiversity and climate change in the South Caucasus region and highlighting its global significance.

During the international event, the results of the analysis of the Eco-regional Conservation Plan for the Caucasus (ECP 2020) and the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) document were presented from the perspective of biodiversity and climate change.

The primary goal of the event was to review the update process of the Nationally Determined Contributions document, provide an overview of the analysis results, and discuss the overall consequences of the Eco-regional Conservation Plan analysis.
