Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

The meeting chaired by the President of ANAS was held today. 

The current state of doctoral education at the Academy and the tasks ahead were discussed at the meeting.

The President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli assessed the growing interest in doctoral education, the increase in number of applicants for doctoral studies this year and applying talented youth to the Academy as a positive case.

The head of Science and Education Department of the Presidium administration of ANAS, Doctor of Philology Sarkhan Khavari gave information about the results of admission to doctoral studies at the Academy in 2024.

The scientific secretaries of Humanitarian Sciences and Social Sciences Divisions of ANAS, PhD in Philology Arzu Mammadkhanli and PhD in Philology Zumrud Mansimova presented statistical information about the state of admission to doctoral studies in the scientific divisions they represent.

The academic secretary of ANAS, Academician Arif Hashimov presented his proposals for further improvement of doctoral education at the Academy.

In light of its relevance and importance, it was recommended to discuss the issue of doctoral education at the meeting of the Presidium of ANAS in a broader composition.

At the meeting chaired by the President of ANAS, the issue of preparing a joint encyclopedia dedicated to the prominent Kyrgyz writer Chingiz Aitmatov by the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi and the Institute of Literature and Language of the Kyrgyz Academy of Sciences was discussed and relevant tasks were given.
