On October 28, 2024, the scientific secretary of the service of the Vice Presidents of the Presidium Administration of ANAS, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor Tubukhanim Gasimzade, the deputy head of the Department of Foreign Relations and Work with International Scientific Organizations of ANAS, PhD in Earth Sciences Aytan Huseynova,  the leading specialist of the Department Gulnar Seyidzade and the chief specialist of the “Electronic Academy” Department Aida Taghiyeva participated in the Azerbaijan-NATO Experts’ Level Roundtable on energy and environmental security held with the joint initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and NATO organizations.

The round table discussed the role of Azerbaijan and the region in Europe’s energy security, critical energy infrastructure protection, climate change and energy security.

In the discussions, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor Tubukhanim Gasimzade emphasized that the ecological terror caused by Armenians over the past 30 years in the territories of Garabagh and Eastern Zangazur such as forest burning, land degradation, the pollution of river waters and water bodies, resulting in the destruction of green energy sources, creates a serious problem not only for Azerbaijan but also for the region and the entire world.
