Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

The opening ceremony of a sport competition on mini-football, dedicated to 8 November-Victory Day was held at the football field of Baku State University on November 2. The event was jointly organized by the Yasamal district Executive Power, New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) Yasamal district organization, and the Yasamal district Youth and Sports Department.

The opening ceremony was attended by Bakhtiyar Nabiyev, chairman of NAP Yasamal district organization, Goydaniz Gahramanov, member of Milli Majlis, Huseyn Huseynli, assistant to the rector of Baku State University, Ilgar Guliyev, member of the NAP Youth Union, Senan Hasanov, PhD in political sciences, chairman of the Free Trade Union of ANAS, Huseyn Huseynov, associate professor, director of the Central Scientific Library of ANAS, Elmir Babayev, PhD in chemistry, chairman of Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of ANAS as well as the chairmen of NAP territorial party organizations and trade unions of ANAS.

In his speech at the opening ceremony, Bakhtiyar Nabiyev, chairman of NAP Yasamal district organization provided information about the purpose and significance of the sport contest. He underlined that, under the leadership of the victorious Commander-in-Chief, Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani army liberated our native Garabagh from enemy occupation during the 44-day Patriotic War. The local counter-terrorism measures conducted on September 19-20, 2023, under the leadership of the Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, and the raising of our tricolor flag on October 15, 2023, in Khankendi, Khojaly, Khojavand, Aghdara and Asgaran, was the peak of our historic victories.

At the end of his speech, Bakhtiyar Nabiyev wished success to the teams participating in the tournament.

Goydaniz Gahramanov, member of Milli Majlis, Senan Hasanov, chairman of the Free Trade Union of ANAS and Ilgar Guliyev, member of the NAP Youth Union, also made speeches at the ceremony, highlighting the significance of the historic victory achieved in the Patriotic War under the leadership of the Commander-in-Chief. They mentioned that President Ilham Aliyev’s name is inscribed in golden letters in the history of Azerbaijan. At the end of the speeches, they wished success to the teams.  

After the opening ceremony, a match took place between the teams of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction. The team from the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences won the game with a score of 6-0.
