The next guests of the Central Botanical Garden of ANAS were students of technical and humanitarian lyceum "Tereggi" on behalf I.Hajiyev. Students had an opportunity to get acquainted with live garden collection. Researcher of the Central Botanical Garden of Ofelia Gafarova informed the students about the endemic and rare species of plants belonging to the flora of Azerbaijan, as well as demonstrating medicinal plants, talked about areas of their distribution, importance and problems of protection.

Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the Garden Farid Seyfullayev told about dendrology, its meaning and applications. Young scientist explained to the students the right to take wood samples for determining the age of trees the color and the thickness of tree rings. Fossil wood samples discovered during archaeological excavations aroused great interest of students.

Finally, discussions were held on the acquired new knowledge, students' questions were responded.
