New self-supporting scientific venture “Nafta" Scientific-Production Association of ANAS was included in the structure of ANAS by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of AR dated November 17, 2015. At a meeting of the Presidium of ANAS, was accepted the decision on approval of the charter of the institution to ensure that its activities. Self-supporting scientific venture "Nafta" was referred to the Administrative Department of ANAS.

According to another decree of the Presidium of ANAS PhD in Chemistry Adam Guluzadeh was appointed the director of "Nafta".

Note that "Nafta" is applicable at the Presidium of ANAS a self-supporting entity, possessing a research and production structure, the activity of which covers the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The main purpose of this structure is to reduce the dependence of the country's economy from the export of oil and oil products, the development of production technology of high-tech products and the organization of production based on the technology of production.
