On February 25, Institute of Geology and Geophysics held “Geomechanics” seminar within the framework of the project "The complex of theoretical and experimental studies of interdisciplinary problems of geomechanics", organized by the Decree of the Presidium of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences "On the research programs recommended by the Presidium of ANAS" dated February 11, 2015.
In the seminar project manager Academician Hatam Guliyev noted the successfully continuation of works envisaged within the program.
Later on, lecture "3-dimensional flow issues in the layers of oil-gas wells, having relaxed deformed rocks”, co-authored by corresponding member of ANAS Arif Guliyev and PhD in engineering Bunyad Kazimov was listened in the seminar.
The paper conducts the development of oil and gas deposits matching to solution of underground fluid dynamics issues, and in this case the need for researching theoretical and practical issues of fluids filtering in a layer with different collector properties.
It was noted that, linear or non-linear deformation cases have been reviewed in the traditional studies of last years, mostly in elaboration of rocks, containing from the layer - collectors. Since the 80s of the last century, emerging of deformations with rheological species (relaxed and reptile) in elaboration of rocks contained from layer-collectors, primarily was launched to prove through theoretical-experimental and actual data mining research, so it paved the way for emerging of rheological filtering theories in the relaxed and reptile environments.
In addition, was underlined that, studies directed to exploring the quantitative effect of rheological deformations of the rocks to elaboration of fields were conducted for the first time at the Institute of Geology and Geophysics and is currently underway.
The paper clarifies initial outputs in solution of 3-dimensional flow issues in the layers of oil-gas wells, having relaxed deformed rocks, as well.
Note that, B.Kazimov’s paper dubbed “Definition algorithms of rheological parameters of non-linear deformations of the gas field rocks” has been submitted in the journal of Russia "Letters to Technical Physics journal" (translated version of the journal includes to the Thomson base).
Seminar aroused interest on attendees, questions responded.
