On March 2, round table “A joint investigation of the problems of the history of Azerbaijan-Russian relations” was held at the Institute of History of ANAS.
In the event, Institute of History named after A.Bakikhanov and Institute of History named after Shahabaddin Marjani under Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan (ASRT), Russian Federation, signed an agreement of cooperation.
Agreement conducts the coordination of scientific research on the Turkic historical-cultural heritage, identify and study the historical and architectural objects of Azerbaijan and Tatar peoples, organization of joint museum, documentaries and other exhibitions, scientific trips and field expeditions, international, all-Russian and regional scientific conferences, symposia, conferences and workshops on issues of mutual concern and other issues.
Document signed by the director of the Institute of History of ANAS corresponding member of ANAS Yagub Mahmudov and director of the Institute of History of ASRT Academician Rafael Hakimov.
Y.Mahmudov said that the Tatar and Azerbaijan peoples lived hard consequences of the foreign military interventions, persecution, repression and genocide.
After the restoration of independence established bilateral cooperation with Tatarstan. In 1996, the President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev and national leader Heydar Aliyev signed agreement covering trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation. Currently, President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and President Ilham Aliyev successfully continue this collaboration.
Acting Academician-Secretary of the Department of Social Sciences corresponding member of ANAS Nargiz Akhundova spoke about historical relations between two peoples.
Vice president of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, director of the Institute of History on behalf Sh.Marjani, Academician Rafael Hakimov delivered a lecture "Basic scientific directions of the Institute of History of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences", corresponding member of ASRT Radik Salikhov on "The development of capitalism and the Turkish Union", PhD in History Ilnur Mirgalayev “Golden Horde and Tatar states of the middle Ages," scientific secretary of the Institute of History on behalf Marjani Bakhtiyar Izmaylov on "Tatars in the territory of Russia," PhD in History Alexei Bushuyev on "Tatars and Tatarstan in the XX-XXI centuries", PhD in History Aydar Nogmanov on "Study the history of settlements in the Republic of Tatarstan", Dr. History Lilia Gabdrafikova “Historical anthropology of Tatars", during the conference.
Within the event were presented the scientific editions of the Institute of History on behalf Sh. Marjani.
