ANAS and Turkey’s scientific centers set up collaboration ties

A group of associate of the Institute of Economy of ANAS was on a scientific trip to Turkey by technical and financial support of Turkish International Cooperation Coordination Agency (TICA). Delegation chaired by Deputy Director of Science of the institute Allahyar Muradov – scientific secretary PhD in Economy Resmiyye Abdullayeva, leading fellows – PhDs in Economy Mayis Gulaliyev, Rufat Afandiyev, Emin Mammadzadeh and Samira Agayeva, held meetings in several ministries and universities, located in Ankara and Istanbul cities. Visit aimed to strengthen scientific ties between two brother countries, carry out long-term researches and contribute for solid development of economy.

Delegation held meetings at Central Banking Research and Training Center in Istanbul, Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, The Banks Association of Turkey, Istanbul University, Istanbul Commerce University, Istanbul Technical University, Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University, as well as in the city of Ankara - Gazi University, Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Turkey, Ministry of Development and Economic Models Department of Strategic Studies. In addition they met with Murad Chetin, TICA's departmental director for the Caucasus and Central Asian Republics.

During discussions were scheduled the issues of joint researches by scientists of both countries, including of celebrate economist scientists of Azerbaijan to the editorial board of economic journals in Turkey, meanwhile including prestigious Turkish economist scientists to the editorial board of scientific journals of Azerbaijan, conducting mutual symposium and seminars as well.

Within the meetings were put to the fore to hold 1st Baku Forum of Economist-Scientists of the Turkic-speaking countries, implement student exchange over doctorate training in the universities etc.

By the decision of directory of ANAS Institute of Economy scientific secretary of the institute, PhD in Economy Resmiyye Abdullayeva has been defined coordinator of the affairs to be done between two countries.

Note that, last year in February, Baku city hosted the scientific conference “Islam finance: state-of-the-art and future vistas” co-organized by TICA and Institute of Economy.
