Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Director of ANAS Institute of History of Science of Doctor of Historical Sciences Maryam Seyidbeyli participated at the XII conference dedicated S.Vavilov’s 125-anniversary held at the Institute of History of Science and Technology named after S.Vavilov of Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) on 24-30 March 2016.

At plenary session of conference M. Seyidbeyli delivered report on "Formation of history of oil science of Azerbaijan: formation of the of Bibi-Heybat bay".

The report aroused great interest among the participants of the conference, was highly appreciated the scientific analysis of the topic.

During the visit, M.Seyidbeyli met with Director of Institute of History of Science and Technology named after S.Vavilov (RAS), Ph.D. in Technology D.Scherbinin, Director of the Central Archives of Russian Academy of Sciences, Ph.D. in History V.Afiani.

The sides discussed prospects of cooperation.

Valuable materials stored in the archive of RAS were collected for the Institute by M.Seyidbeyli, obtained copies were delivered to the country.
