Azerbaijani scientists attended the international symposium in Turkey

Deputy Director of Science at National Museum of Azerbaijan History of ANAS Dr. History Nargiz Aliyeva and leading researcher of the Institute of Manuscripts named after M. Fuzuli, PhD in Theology Sabina Nematzadeh attended the 5th International Symposium “Since Past up Today: the city and a woman”.

Nargiz Aliyeva delivered a lecture on “National-religious values in Azerbaijan women dresses in XIX-XX centuries”, Sabina Nematzadeh on “Women images on miniature drawings of Turkic-Islamic manuscripts” at the event chaired by head of Janik Municipality Osman Genj and Prof. Osman Kose.

At the closing ceremony of the symposium N.Aliyeva and S.Nematzadeh reported on the Azerbaijan multiculturalism. Scientists noted that, by the Order of President Ilham Aliyev 2016 was declared “The year of Multiculturalism” in Azerbaijan, and multicultural-tolerance traditions rely on centuries old history in our country.

Informing on activities of Baku International Multiculturalism Center, scientists have donated proceedings of Center’s round table, positioning in 4 booklets, to Osman Genj.

At the event, S. Nematzadeh proposed to hold next symposium on theme "The City and multiculturalism". The Organizing Committee, domestic and foreign scientists positively met this offer.

During the visit, Azerbaijani scientists interviewed to channel "A" as well.
