Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

At the General Meeting of ANAS were awarded prizes bearing the names of outstanding scientists.

At the event noted that, competition for ANAS Nominal prizes was announced by Presidium decree dated February 17, 2016.

Ideas of scientists whose nominate were proposed for participation at a competition, and the relevant documents have been submitted by the Expert Committee.

Prepared by the Commission relevant reviews on nominates for Nominal Prizes of ANAS were presented to the Presidium. Relevant decisions of the contest results were considered and adopted at the last meeting of the Presidium.

So, for a cycle works in the field of band structure calculations and vibration spectra of semiconductors, creating narrow-band theory of semiconductors with the spectrum Kane Academician Firudin Mammad Ali oglu Hashimzadeh was awarded by the prize of ANAS named after Nasreddin Tusi, for achievements in the musical study of the heritage of outstanding Azerbaijani composer Gara Garayev Professor Firangiz Aliagha gizi Alizadeh – the ANAS Award named after Academician Uzeyir Hajibeyli, for the study of the spread of cardiovascular system diseases in infants and children, the identification of their clinical features and systematic study of methods of therapeutic and surgical treatment in Azerbaijan Academician Adila Avaz gizi Namazova - Award after Academician of ANAS Mirasadulla Mirgasimov.

For merits in the field of structure and properties of oil produced in the oil and gas fields of Azerbaijan, research and application in the production of high-quality base oils, corresponding member of ANAS Samadova Fazila Ibrahim gizi was awarded the prize of ANAS after Academician Yusif Mammadaliyev, for the obtained fundamental results in the study of the deep structure of the Earth's crust by geophysical methods on the territory of Azerbaijan, Academician Parviz Ziya oglu Mammadov - Award of ANAS after Academician Musa Aliyev, for works in the field of plant protection research and plant diseases Academician Siddiga Rza gizi Mammadova - Award of ANAS named after Hasan bey Zardabi, for achievements in the field of research the history of Azerbaijani statehood and revealing the true facts against Armenian falsification corresponding member of ANAS Yagub Mikayil oglu Mahmudov - Award of ANAS named Abbasgulu agha Bakikhanov.

Note that, each nominee who is awarded the Nominal Prizes of ANAS, will be donated a cash prize amounting to 5 thousand manats.
