Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

During the visit to Azerbaijan at the invitation of the Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) - President Institute of Petroleum Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE) Thomas Hochstetler and Director of External Relations and Cooperation of the Institute of Oil Abu Dhabi Ibrahim Al-Hajri met with Vice-President of ANAS, chairman of the Committee of Science and Education of Milli Majlis, Academician Isa Habibbeyli.

Noting that President Ilham Aliyev pays special attention to the expansion of ties between the two countries, I.Habibbeyli stressed that BHOS in a short time has done a great job.

Academician also noted that in the institution of higher education focused highly skilled experts in the field of oil and gas, chemistry and automation, and collaboration between the two institutions of higher education will be effective.

I.Habibbeyli said that numerous research institutions in the field of chemistry, cybernetics, control systems are functioning in ANAS. He stressed that the cooperation established under the mediation BHOS would pave the way for tripartite cooperation in the future.

BHOS Rector Elmar Gasimov noted that similar goals and objectives were set when creating the university led by him and the Institute of Oil Abu Dhabi. He added that at present the two institutions of higher education are successful social project for their country.

Noting that this was his first visit to Azerbaijan, rector of the Institute of Oil Abu Dhabi has expressed satisfaction with the meeting. The guest also expressed his confidence in the fact that based on the agreement reached with BHOS in the future will be implemented by an exchange of students and teachers in the research field.

Later in the meeting the sides discussed prospects of development of relations in the sphere of education and mutual cooperation in this area.
