Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

At a meeting of the Presidium of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), the implementation status of the semi-annual reports on the scientific and organizational activities of ANAS research institutions, organizations, regional scientific departments, and centers for the first half of 2026 was discussed.

Speaking at the meeting, ANAS President, Academician Isa Habibbeyli, noted that semi-annual reporting has been carried out at the Academy’s scientific institutions and organizations for several years. He stressed that this process serves to mobilize the Academy’s scientific potential, improve the effectiveness of its activities, and more clearly identify the tasks and priorities ahead.

Academician Isa Habibbeyli stated that the participation of Presidium representatives in the reporting process as experts represents an important step toward further strengthening accountability and coordination among scientific institutions. He emphasized that the results achieved are evaluated in a more objective and transparent manner through both the assessments of independent experts and the comprehensive presentations delivered by the institutes.

In conclusion, the ANAS President recommended that an extensive discussion of the semi-annual reports be held at the Presidium meeting scheduled for July this year.
