Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Academician Hatam Guliyev attended in the XV International Conference "Geo-informatics - 2016: theoretical and applied aspects", which was held at the Kiev National University named after Taras Shevchenko, Ukraine.

The event was held in co organizational support of the Ukrainian geo-information and European geological-engineering associations.

At the conference, papers on various areas of Geo-informatics were delivered by scientists from Russia, Germany, Norway, Poland, Turkey, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and other countries.

At the plenary session of the conference G.Guliyev delivered a scientific report on "The role of Geo-informatics in decision-making during the drilling of wells, taking into account any difficulties" (co-authors: G.M Efendiyev, A.K Gadimov, I.R Guliyev, G.H Hasanova, T.A Makhmudov). At the sectional meeting Academician also delivered reported on "Studying the deep layers of the geological environment on the basis of seismic and seismological data" (co-authors: X.B. Agayev, T.E Volkov and G.H Hasanov).

In conclusion of the conference was recommended to publish full text of papers in "Geo-informatics" journal.

During the event, were exchanged views on issues of geology and Geophysics of mutual interest between Academician G.Guliyev, scientist of Ankara University, Dr. Refik Samet, Deputy Director on scientific work of the Institute of Geophysics of Ukraine National Academy of Sciences, Professor V.Zaserkovniy, corresponding member of NUAS V.Kendzera and Professor of the same institute B.Bahmutov.
