First issue of the journal “Turkology”, editorial body of the Presidium of ANAS, will be released recently.

This issue of journal embraces articles by Azerbaijani, Russian, Turkish, Kazak, Turkmen, German and Albanian scientists in Azerbaijani, Turkish, English and Russian languages. Reader will come across worthy scientific patterns in linguistics, folklore, mythology, history and other spheres.

By the decision of the Presidium journal embraces even wider directions. Ongoing issue of the international scientific journal will present theoretic papers in headings of “Turkologic heritage”, “Problems of the Linguistics”, “Literature and Folklore”, “Mythology”, “Philosophy and history”, “Written monuments”, including articles in sections of “Debate and discussion”, “90th anniversary of the first Turkological Congress”, “200th anniversary of the recognition of the “Kitabi-Dede Gorgud” to the world science”, “Turkological centers”, “Scientific Center”, “Personalia”, and “Necrologues” will arise interest on readers.

International scientific journal aims to continue traditions of journal “Soviet Turkology”, and make Turkology interesting not only for specialists of this field, but also for other fields.
