Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

The delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, director of the Center for International Education and Research of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of this country Hadi Suleymanpur visited the Institute of Oriental Studies Academician Ziya Bunyadov of ANAS.

At the meeting, the director of the scientific institute, corresponding member of ANAS Bakhshaliyeva Govhar informed guests about the structure of scientific directions led by her, spoke about the research in the field of Iran study, contributions of outstanding domestic scientists to our science in this sphere.

Stressing that, there are opportunities for cooperation in the sphere of science and education between the two countries, G.Bakhshaliyeva brought to the attention that such meetings make a scientific contribution to the expansion of bilateral ties.

H.Suleymanpur, noted that Azerbaijan is a cradle of cultures, emphasized that, cooperation is fruitful from the point of view of promoting in the world of collaborations.

Noted the existence of wide potential for expansion of cooperation, H.Suleymanpur expressed willingness to render any support for the establishment of relations of the Institute of Oriental Studies with any university of Iran. He put forward proposals concerning the preparation of joint publications in the field of historical documents, the implementation of joint projects, and the organization of exhibitions. The Iranian diplomat noted that, Azerbaijani bachelors have the opportunity to obtain a master’s degree after a year of training at the Diplomatic University of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran and expressed readiness to provide any assistance in this matter.
