Electron hall of the Institute of Literature named after Nizami of ANAS hosted the event by joint organization of the same institute and Foundation Mahmud Kashgari.

At the event, Vice-President of ANAS director of the institute Academician Isa Habibbeyli informed about establishment history and scientific directions of the venture. He stated that, since the day of establishment Institute has achieved a number of scientific successes, published hundreds of monographs and scientific editions. In addition, multivolume “History of Azerbaijan literature”, “Literature journal”, scientific journal “Literary ties” were released. Logistic base of the institute was renewed; high-qualified staff was formed.

Informing about Foundation Mahmud Kashgari, Academician Isa Habibbeyli noted that, mentioned international foundation was founded at the intitative of People Writer Anar, deceased literature critic Arif Emrahoglu and poet Elkhan Zal Garakhanli in 2006. “Key goal of the foundation is to promote common Turkic values”, said scientist and drew attention to the establishment of “Prize Mahmud Kashgari” due to increase attention to this issue at the Azerbaijan and Turkic scale. Medal is granted for merits before the Turkic World, including for philanthropic activity, he added.

CEO of the Foundation poet Elkhan Zal Garakhanli noted that, medal was initially rewarded those who financially and morally underpinned the activity of the foundation. Vice-President of ANAS Isa Habibbayli highlighted the celebrate persons among awardees; translator of Mahmud Kashgari "Divan" into Azerbaijan Ramiz Asgar, a number of writers, supporting the release of historical publications - Huseynbala Miralamov, Yunus Oguz and Elchin Isgandarzadeh.

Elkhan Zal Garakhanli brought to mind the shooting of a fiction or documentary about one of the least studied period of Turkic History - Mahmud Kashgari’s period, by the Foundation.

Then, "Mahmud Kashgari" medal was presented to the winners.
