An ancient pitcher grave found in Jalilabad

An ancient pitcher grave was found at the courtyard of Anar Gasimov, Shatirli village resident of Jalilabad region.

Besides of human bones, more than 70 ornaments of different colors and sizes were found in the grave as well.

According to the Elshad Emenov, the fact of finding jewelry made of shell in the grave of 80 centimeters diameter is the first time in such graves in the southern region. He thinks that these bones belong to the 9-12-year-old girl.

The discovered artifacts have been sent for examination to the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of ANAS.
