Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

On October 4, event dedicated to 5 October – Teachers’ Day co-organized by ANAS Central Scientific Library, Knowledge Foundation under President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Institute of Educational Problems and Baku city Education Office.

Event brought together student and teacher staff of Institute of Educational Problems, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical College, Azerbaijan Languages University, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University and the University “Gizlar”.

CEO of the Knowledge Foundation Ogtay Samadov congratulated staff of the foundation on the occasion of this remarkable day and wished successes.

Chairman of Education and Science Committee of the Milli Majlis Vice-President of ANAS Academician Isa Habibbeyli also congratulated all teachers and noted that, he was born in a family of teachers and proud of it.

Makin speech on importance of unity between science and education I.Habibbeyli underlined that society is built on science.

An attendee of 5th Baku Humanitarian Forum, Director of Lithuanian Scientific History Institute Professor Algimantas Liekis spoke about similar aspects of Azerbaijan and Lithuania peoples. Scientist fascinated by the multicultural and tolerant way of life in Azerbaijan and said that this is a good example for the world.

Other speakers congratulated the teachers as well, and wished success to the owners of this noble profession.

Later on, students and pupils’ congratulations were listened and a group of active teachers awarded.
