Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

The Training and Surgical Clinic of the Azerbaijan Medical University (AMU) held the regular meeting of the Scientific Council for Medicine for the organization of the Council and coordination of research of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The meeting was held by organizational support with the Academic Council of the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan.

Opening the event, Chairman of the Scientific Council on the problems of medicine, corresponding member of ANAS Nuru Bayramov informed about the issues on the agenda.

The meeting was devoted to discussion of issues concerning the "science of Azerbaijan - 2030: roadmap, created of a working group on e-medicine, a form of scientific reports, research registration".

Corresponding member of ANAS N.Bayramov noted that, at the present time has taken important steps towards the integration of Azerbaijani science into the world.

Further, he touched upon in connection with the decision determining the main priorities and directions of Azerbaijani science until 2030, which was recently adopted at ANAS and the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan. It was noted that, according to the decision, the relevant structures was requested to prepare and submit a scientific strategy in all areas of science, including medicine. After the training this strategy will be discussed in the academy and the Cabinet of Ministers and submitted for approval to the Presidential Administration. He also noted that in the further studies are provided in the field of molecular biology and biotechnology, as well as their use in medicine, the role of genetic research into diseases and physiological processes, the study of proteins, nucleic acids and other substances in medicine.

N.Bayramov, noting that today the e-health is one of the most popular areas, stressed the need to attract highly qualified staff and experts in this area. He brought to the attention of the training programs 10 points, aimed at addressing issues associated with electronic documents, medical registration forms, registration of scientific research, representation to the attention of the scientific community of published articles and monographs.

This program brought to the fore the creation of the Working Group in order to solve existing problems, joint discussions, and the involvement of specialists in the field of information technology.

Recalling the holding in May this year for the first time in Azerbaijan, the scientific-practical conference dedicated to the multidisciplinary problems of e-health, the scientist stressed the importance of this event in terms of providing scientific support for the formation of e-health, prioritization, coordination of research carried out in this area, as well as organization of sustainable cooperation with relevant scientific centers of foreign countries.

The event was also an exchange of views on research conducted in the priority research areas, joint projects implemented with relevant medical institutions, exchange of experience. Then, was sounded number of proposals.
