“Huseyn Javid and modern youth” republican scientific conference conducted

On October 18, a republican scientific conference on “Huseyn Javid and modern youth” devoted to 25th anniversary of state independence and 134th anniversary of great poet and dramatist Huseyn Javid was held at the electron conference hall of the Institute of Literature by joint organization of this institute and Huseyn Javid’s Memorial Flat.

Conference was opened by Vice-President of ANAS, director of the Institute of Literature Academician Isa Habibbeyli, who drew attention to holding a chain of events in ANAS on the occasion of 25th anniversary of state independence and gained achievements in science, education and culture in Azerbaijan after removal of independence.

Dealing with life and creativity of Huseyn Javid, Academician Isa Habibbeyli underlined the role of Huseyn Javid’s Memorial Flat in collecting, investigating and promoting dramatist’s literary heritage.

Academician-Secretary of ANAS Division of Humanitarian Sciences, Academician Teymur Karimli told about legacy left by great poet Huseyn Javid and The Javids family. Academician reminded the removing corpse of poet to the homeland at the initiative of national leader Heydar Aliyev, erecting the grand mausoleum over the grave of Javid and for the first time in 1982 to mark his 100th anniversary in the country solemnly. It was noted that at that time works of Javid have been published in four volumes.

T.Karimli noted that, Javid’s heritage will live in all times and pure people’s spirit.

At the event, director of the museum, Dr. Philology Gulbeniz Babakhanli and others glanced at lifetime of poet, who had been one of the sparkle figures in Azerbaijan literature.

Later, lectures concerning the topic were listened.
