Institute of Molecular Biology Biotechnologies held a seminar. An employee of the National Research Council, Institute for Sustainable Plant Protection Dr. Bianca Elena Maserti delivered a lecture on “Clarification of plant responses to abiotic and biotic stresses by applying approaches Omix”.

Lecturer noted that, the main objective of the Institute for Sustainable Plant Protection is to study responses of plants to the biotic and abiotic stresses with the goal of protecting the plants used in agriculture and forestry.

Extensive discussions were held on the subject, the reporter responded to questions of the participants.

After seminar the guests toured the laboratories of the institute, got acquainted with results carried out from studies.

Irada Huseynova spoke to the Italian scientist on the history and activities of the institution, headed by her and spoke about the the founder of the Institute, Academic Jalal Aliyev’s invaluable contribution to the development of Azerbaijani science.

The guest stressed that, under institute was created Proteomiks laboratory and started new personnel training in this area.

The Italian scientist stressed the importance of institutional relations. In the future, the possibility of carrying out joint scientific research works was discussed.
