Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

The author of two-part book "Foreign policy of Azerbaijan Republic (1991-2003)" is Director of ANAS Institute of Caucasian, Professor Musa Gasimli was published in Russian by the publishing house "Man" of the Russian Cultural Foundation.

The work covers the history the foreign policy of 1991-2003. The book based on the materials libraries of Azerbaijan, Russia, Georgia, Turkey, USA, UK and other countries, the OSCE archives of the United Nations libraries in Vienna and the International Atomic Energy Agency investigated the path traversed by our diplomacy.

In the first part of the book discusses the the internal socio-political and international situation of the USSR on the eve of the collapse of the restoration of state independence of our country, the challenges facing Azerbaijani diplomacy to resolve the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict, the position of our diplomacy to define the legal status of Caspian Sea and relations with neighboring countries.

In the second part of the publication researched Azerbaijan's relations with Europe, Asia, Africa and the United States, its place in the system of international security and cooperation, the role of economic factors in the foreign policy and other issues.

Work provided for diplomats, politicians, professionals involved in the history of international relations, students in this specialty, is a valuable contribution to the 25th anniversary of the state independence of Azerbaijan.
