Bu joint organization of the Institute of Linguistics named after Nasimi of ANAS and Ismayilli region Executive Power was held a round table on “Language situation in regions: Ismayilli”.

The event discussed upcoming tasks, works done and results of monitoring carried out in accordance with the President Ilham Aliyev’s order “State Program on use of Azerbaijani language meet with modern requirements in the condition of globalization and development of linguistics in the country” dated April 9, 2013.

Deputy Head of Ismayili region Executive Power Sevil Ahmadova highlighted the relevance of the topic and briefed about the works done on this issue in the region.

At the event, chief of Monitoring Department of the Institute of Linguistics Sevinj Aliyeva made a presentation on "The main directions of the execution mechanism of state program”, the leading employees of the department - Shahlar Mammadov ”Language problems in Press", Nazakat Gaziyeva “Language policy of the state in the era of globalization", Rasim Heydarov "Language picturesque of ads.

Also it was noted that the potential of the Azerbaijani literary language is not being used properly and correctly, in fact occur alien elements causing damage in the development of own objective laws of our language. Sometimes, during monitoring is observed the violation of ordinary lexical and grammatical rules of Azerbaijani language on the ads and posters in the streets and squares.

Monitoring department of the institute follows application process of Azerbaijani language in the capital and in the regions, defines certain shortcomings, and submits a report about to the relevant government agencies, was noted.

"Round table" touched upon the issues such as necessity of compliance with the norms of the literary, legal and regulatory framework, to improve and expand the use of the teaching, studying and promoting of our language in the field of information and communication technologies and stressed the importance of propaganda in the mass media.
