Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

November 6, at the Azerbaijan National Library named after Mirza Fatali Akhundzadeh the presentation of the publication in Arabic of the book "Irevan khanate: Russian occupation and resettlement of Armenians to the lands of North Azerbaijan" was held.

The event is organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in cooperation with the Institute of History of ANAS and the National Library of Azerbaijan.

The presentation with the participation of well-known scholars, ambassadors of Arab countries in Azerbaijan, director of Azerbaijan National Library Kerim Tahirov described the value represented by the book and noted that this edition has been translated into several languages today - English, Russian, Romanian, Italian and Spanish.

It was noted that, a scientific editor of the book is the director of the Institute of History, corresponding member of ANAS, deputy of Milli Majlis Yagub Mahmudov, translator - Abd Al-Rahman Al Hamissi, executive editor of the Arabic edition - Associate Gulnur Mahmud. Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Adalat Valiyev stated that, supervised by Yagub Mahmudov a lot of fundamental works have been published in the country in latest years.

Director of the Institute of History, corresponding member of ANAS Yagub Mahmudov brought to the attention present that treacherous Armenians continue their occupation policy, spoke about the importance of the book "Irevan khanate: Russian occupation and resettlement of Armenians to the lands of North Azerbaijan" in Arabic. Scientist also noted that, a current book has been written at the initaive of President Ilham Aliyev and trabslated into various languages.

Institute of History releases numerous fundamental works, monographs and documents bulks, proving genocides of Azerbaijanis by Armenians, in recent years. Along with Baku, the works of the institute are published in Moscow, Istanbul, Ankara, Islamabad, Budapesht, Kiev, London, New-York, Rome, even in Los-Angeles.

Ahmad Sami Elaydi, a head of Cultre and Education Center under Embassy of Egypt Arab Republic to Azerbaijan, stressed out the significance of the translation the book into Arabian.

At the event, MPs of Milli Majlis Fazail Ibrahimli, Aydin Mirzezadeh, Huseynbala Miralamov, Ambassador for Special Issues at Ministry of Foreign Affairs Shahin Abdullayev and others shared opinions on delivering historical truths on proving Irevan as an Azerbaijan land.

In closing, event attendees got familiar with the exhibition, composed of books published by authorship and editorship of Yagub Mahmudov.

Remind that, “Irevan khanate” book was deserved to State Prize of the Republci of Azerbaijan in 2012.
