Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

It is known that, on September 20, 2016, by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on approval of "State program on the implementation of the National Strategy for Information Society Development in Azerbaijan Republic for 2016-2020".

In 15 of 51 paragraphs provided in the State program Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences is one of the executing organ. The Plan of measures has been developed for implementation of the tasks assigned to Academy in connection with the actions provided in these paragraphs.

At the meeting of the ANAS Presidium, which took place on 18 November, considered the issue of implementation of the State program.

By submitting at a meeting of the Action Plan, Academic-Secretary of ANAS, Academician Rasim Alguliyev noted that, the State program is of great importance from the point of view of the continuation of the policy on the formation of the country's information society, to identify new priorities for development, further expansion of favorable conditions for the effective use of ICT by each citizen of both the public administration and the business sector and in society at large.

Academician informed about the tasks assigned to ANAS and as reflected in the Action Plan, the works to be performed on sections "Development of high-tech sector", "Strengthening scientific and technical capacities in the field of high technologies", "ICT as a factor in the development of society" "Training", "The development of national content" and the organizations responsible for their implementation.

After extensive discussions, the Action Plan for the implementation of the State Program was approved by the Presidium of ANAS, taking into account all comments and suggestions.

To fulfill the objectives of the State program, in accordance with the Action Plan have been given appropriate instructions to the responsible organizations.
