Today, ANAS Institute of Literature was presented "Nakhchivan - one of the oldest cities in the world" book by Academician Chingiz Gajar "Nakhchivan - one of the oldest cities in the world".

Opening the event, Vice-President of ANAS, Director of the Institute of Literature, Academician Isa Habibbeyli spoke about the history, scientific and cultural significance of the book. The scientist said that, the geographical location of the stages of development of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic is submitted to the attention of readers on the basis of photos and archival materials.

ANAS Vice-President noted that, the new edition of the development of science, culture, literature, art, and print in Nakhchivan, from ancient times to the present day was investigated as an integral part of our history.

The next speaker, head of the permanent representation of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in Baku Bakhtiyar Asgarov noted that, the published in Russian at a high level printing the book is very important in terms of bringing to the world the truth about the history of Nakhchivan, as well as the promotion of our culture.

Spoke on "Journey to the home of Noah" Director of the Institute of Architecture and Art, corresponding member of ANAS Ertegin Salamzadeh noted that, the book reflects the rich culture and history of ancient land of Nakhchivan. It is emphasized here that provides detailed information about the ancient traditions of courtship, weddings and holidays.

A.Salamzadeh stressed that, the material culture of the samples identified in the studies conducted over the years on the territory of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, show that Nakhchivan is one of the oldest cities in the world.

The scientific editor of the publication and the author of "Preface" is Academician Isa Habibbeyli.

The event was also acted Director of the Institute Folklore, corresponding member of ANAS Mukhtar Imanov, Deputy Director the Institute of PhysicsAcademician Javad Abdinov, PhD in history Allahverdi Alimirzayev, deputy editor of the newspaper "Xalq" Tahir Aydinogluand others.
