"Said Hassan Taghizadeh and modernization of Iran" book was published by leading researcher of the Department of History and Economy of Iran of the Institute of Oriental Studies after academician Z. Bunyadov of ANAS Afshan Shafiyev.

The monograph is dedicated to the movement of modernization that erupted in Iran in the second half of XIX - the last quarter of the XX century, the role of prominent political, public and state figure of Iran Said Hasan Taghizadeh in the process of modernization of the country, as well as highlights and features of the process.

The book is widely studied personality, the scientific activity of Said Hassan Taghizadeh, his attitude to various important social and political issues.

According to the research the author comes to the conclusion that the beginning of his public activity as a modernizer practitioner S.G.Tagizadeh in the early 20-ies of the XX century, appeared as an advocate of strict Westernization. However, he gradually moved away from modernization and Westernization rose to the position of a perfect upgrade.
