Today, the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS started doctoral exams of doctoral students and candidates for a degree in computer science.
Since September 2016, in order to prepare for the exams at the Training and Innovation Centre (TIC) of the Institute a variety of courses for doctoral students and candidates were organized. These courses were taught theoretical and practical foundations of computer science. Conducted test exams for researchers, given the necessary information on the general rules of the exam.
Exams are held 2 times a year - 1 - 31 January and 15 June - 15 July. For doctoral students and candidates who are on the eve of defense, extraordinary exams are organized in April and October.
Recall that Institute’s distance learning centers function in the Ganja Branch of ANAS, Nakhchivan State University and Nakhchivan Division of ANAS. Since 2011, residents of Ganja and Nakhchivan doctoral students and candidates listen to distance learning classes at TIC. Since 2016 for researchers living in these regions, exam in computer science is also done in a remote form via the Internet.
Note that, since 2003, teaching doctoral students and candidates of the republic, and receive doctoral examinations in Informatics held in a centralized manner in the Institute of Information Technology. On the initiative of ANAS, since June 2013, the doctoral exams in science for doctoral students and candidates are carried out by the electronic test.
At that session, it is expected to involve a total of about 600 doctoral students and candidates, including 50 from Ganja, 16 from Nakhchivan.
Exams will last until 30 January.
