On February 1, Academic Council of the Institute of History received a declamation about Shukhrat Salamov.

Addressing the event, director of the institute, corresponding member of ANAS Yagub Mahmudov said that the main item on the agenda of the meeting appears issue related to the fact that in these days of well-known Uzbek investigator Shukhrat Salamov (Barlas) is under pressure from the Armenian provocateurs because of his works "Turkestan and the Southern Caucasus in XIX-XX centuries. Dashnaks from Fargana to Karabakh "(2015) and" Karabakh: War of Ideas "(2016).

The General Prosecutor's Office of Uzbekistan has hatred criminal case under the incitement of ethnic dissension against Sh.Salamov. This is unacceptable, because the Uzbek scientist in his works explored the genocide committed by Armenian fascism against the Turkic-Muslim peoples of Azerbaijan and Eastern Anatolia, Central Asia and other regions. Therefore put forward against him should be considered nothing more than a violation of historical truth, servility to the Armenian fascism.

It was brought to attention that the Institute of History at the basis of numerous documents, identified from various archives in the world, have been released books, proving genocide, implemented by Armenians in different regions of Azerbaijan, Iran and Eastern Anatolia.

At the conclusion, Academic  Council of the Institute of History of ANAS unanimously adopted a statement in connection with the Shukhrat Salamov. The statement claimed that Shukhrat Salamov does not equate the concept of "Armenian fascism" and "Armenian terrorism" with the Armenian people.

It was decided to submit an application to the appropriate government and law enforcement agencies of Uzbekistan.

Note that, Sh. Salamov is an emeritus doctor of the Institute of History of ANAS.
