Institute of Geology and Geophysics of ANAS held next "Geomechanics" seminar

Institute of Geology and Geophysics of ANAS held next "Geomechanics" seminar

A next seminar within the framework of the project entitled "Complex theoretical and experimental studies of interdisciplinary problems of geomechanics” was held at the conference hall of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics of ANAS, February 2.

All participants of research and guests from various institutions participated in the seminar.

At the seminar, the project manager, Academician Hatam Guliyev noted that the envisaged operation is successfully continuing. It was brought to attention that the event will make a report of corresponding member of ANAS Surkhay Akbarov and PhD in Engineering M.Mehdiyev "Some problems of dynamics and vibrations of the moving load that affects the inside of the empty cylinder surrounded by an elastic space."

Further, corresponding member of ANAS S.Akbarov presented a paper on the topic. The speaker said that the development and application of modern high-speed trains on the underground and other underground wheeled vehicles require fundamental research questions relevant dynamic. S.Akbarov noted that dynamic issues can be modeled as a problem moving or fluctuating pressure that affects the inside of the empty cylinder surrounded by an elastic or visco-elastic space. The main objective of the study is moving load - determination of the critical velocity of the load.

Noting the existence of numerous studies in the field of elastic material bimetallic systems consisting of an elastic surrounding space and the empty cylinder, the scientist said that the project is associated with the study of the above questions, the mathematical formulation of the relevant dynamic issues, achievement of numerical results and their discussion. These results put forward recommendations for the technical application.

The report aroused interest of participants, questions were responded.
