Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Review of articles submitted by researchers to profiled journals is the most important and critical step in the selection of scientific publications. The scientific community is extremely high estimating the time and effort, as well as the recognition of the crucial role of the reviewers that they play in ensuring the quality of published articles.

As the first step in the direction of maintenance of community of reviewers, there was an implementation by the European scientific publishing house Elsevier of annual tender and award of certificates of the best reviewers of the magazines published by publishing house. Since 2013 as criteria of tender of reviewers of Elsevier are chosen efficiency of feedbacks, quality and frequency of reviewing of publications, encouraging with that the best reviewers, whose efforts, dedication and high professionalism distinguished them the current year.

One of the winners of the competition for the best reviewer Journal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, held by publisher Elsevier, became deputy director of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics, corresponding member of ANAS, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Vagif Guliyev.

As a famous scientist - the expert in the field of contemporary problems of harmonic analysis studies, the author of over 250 scientific papers, corresponding member of ANAS, Professor Vagif Guliyev highly appreciated by authoritative international publishing. It is recognition of the high level of Azerbaijani scientists, their place in the world scientific community.
