Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Today, at the main building of ANAS, Institute of Linguistics held a scientific conference devoted to the literalist, Honored Scientist, emeritus professor of Asia Royal Academy of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Dr. Philology Profesor Gazanfar Pashayev’s 80th anniversary.

Opening the conference Academician-Secretary of ANAS Division of Humanitarian Sciences Academician Teymur Karimli said that, G.Kazimov is known as a professional linguist not only in Azerbaijan, but also beyond the country.

Director of the Institute of Linguistics corresponding member of ANAS Mohsun Naghisoylu reported at the event and stressed out scientist’s numerous studies and precious contributions in philology as a whole.

Corresponding member of ANAS Nizami Jafarov, Deputy Director of the Institute of Linguistics for Scientific Affairs PhD in Philology Baba Maharramli, head of Terminology Department Dr. Philology Sayali Sadigova and others made speech at the event and spoke of professor’s academic-pedagogic activity.
