Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Head of the Department of Mud Volcanism of ANAS Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences, Professor Adil Aliyev, according to a survey conducted by the Trade Union Committee of Media Workers, was awarded "The Scientist of the Year" highest media award.

The scientist was awarded by this award for his activities in the implementation of the ideas of the great leader Heydar Aliyev, as well as for deserving merits before the Motherland and the people.

Leading researcher of the Department, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the Institute, Ph.D in Earth Sciences, Associate Professor Orhan Abbasov was awarded with the Certificate of Honor on the occasion of "February 2 - Day of Azerbaijani Youth" and Active participation in the scientific and social life of the district by the Youth and Sports Department of the Yasamal District of AR Ministry of Youth and Sports.
