Institute of Literature held conference on "Islamic solidarity and tolerance in Azerbaijani literature" on March 13.

Opening the event, ANAS Vice-President, Director of the Institute, Academician Isa Habibbayli, recalled the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the announcement of 2017 as the "Year of Islamic solidarity in the country" of January 10, 2017. He called the announcement of the current year "The Year of Islamic Solidarity" a landmark event, highlighting the role of the state in promoting the ideas of tolerance, peace, tolerance and globalization. It was noted that, this conference will lay the foundation for the events dedicated to the "Year of Islamic Solidarity" in the academy.

ANAS Vice-President noted that, Azerbaijan made a great contribution to the development of a tolerant environment, the establishment of multiculturalism, intercultural and intercivilizational dialogue and the propagation of Islamic values in the world. He stressed that, with the IV Games of Islamic Solidarity in 2017 in Baku favorable conditions will be created for the next practical steps in the field of strengthening Islamic solidarity in our country.

Noting that, Azerbaijan is a model in the international arena within the framework of multicultural values, Academician I. Habibbeyli noted that, Islamophobia is growing in the world today and the purpose of the Order is to bring the truth about Islam and its great scientific values to the world.

At the event, were given reports by the head of the Department of Nizami Studies of the Institute, Doctor of Philology Nushaba Arasly on "Problems of Religious Tolerance in the Work of Nizami Ganjavi", Head of the Department of Azerbaijani Literature of the Ancient Period, Doctor of Philology Imamverdi Hamidov on "Literary Current of Shubiyya and the Idea of Equality of Peoples in Islam", head of Department of Azerbaijani literature of the Middle Ages, Ph.D Philology Farida Azizova on Doctor on "Problems of Tolerance and Humanitarian Values in Islamic Civilization", Doctor on Philology Mammadhasan Gambarli on "Human values in the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad", Doctor of Philology Baloglan Shafizadeh on "Image of the Prophet Muhammad in the drama" Prophet" by Huseyn Javid".
