ANAS Institute of Geography after Academician H.Aliyev and the Azerbaijan Geographical Society published book "Mountain geosystems of Azerbaijan: problems and prospects".

The publication is dedicated to the memory of the prominent scientist-geographer, laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Azerbaijan, corresponding member of ANAS, Professor Elbrus Alizadeh.

The book, edited by the Director of the Institute, Academician Ramiz Mammadov, included articles on modern geological and geomorphological research in mountainous areas, landscape planning, global climate change manifestations, water resources usage, and socio-economic problems research.

The work is intended for teachers, students, undergraduates and doctoral students, as well as a wide readership.
