On February 19, 2014 at the Institute of Geology held republican scientific seminar in the field of geosciences. Action was opened by the deputy director of institute, Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences Dadash Huseynov, who gave information about the issues on the agenda. On action the doctor of agrarian sciences, professor Alovsat Guliyev made the report on “Ways of rational use of water resources in Azerbaijan” and told about climate change, about global warming, increase of greenhouse effect in the atmosphere, about influence on environment of ecological changes. It was noted that now in 66 countries of the world including Azerbaijan, are available Kyarizes (the underground hydrotechnical system combining a water supply system and system of an irrigation). Kyarizes in Azerbaijan are generally widespread in Nakhchivan, Karabakh, Ganja and other regions. In the beginning of the XXI century in Nakhchivan research was started Kyarizes held their registration with GPS, as well as environmental assessment, after the Eco-efficiency of Kyarizes. In connection with the issues raised in Nakhchivan Department was established and over 150 Kyarizov were again restored. In conclusion, the speaker stressed the importance of conservation and restoration of Kyarizes, which provide the population with drinking and irrigation water. In discussions on the report attended Doctor of Geological-mineralogical Sciences Zakir Abdullayev Mukhtar Rustamov,Doctor of Geographical Sciences Mohammed Abduyev Rena Beim Gashgay etc.
