The next meeting of the Scientific Council on the Problems of the History of the Republican Council for the Coordination of Scientific Research was held in the main building of ANAS.

Opening the meeting, Chairman of the Council, Correspondent Member of ANAS Shahin Mustafayev informed about the issues on the agenda and changes in the composition of the council. He spoke about the activities of the professor of Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Ph.D. in history Rajab Aliyev, appointed new member of the council in accordance with the order of the President of ANAS, academician Akif Alizadeh, and introduced it to the participants.

Sh. Mustafayev noted that the main direction of the Council's activity is control over the relevance and scientific value of studies conducted in the field of history, in particular, the correspondence of those theses with modern requirements. He stressed the need to identify topics that should be studied.

At the meeting, 21 topics were discussed in the field of national history, general history, archeology, ethnography and ethnology, the history of international relations in the programs for the preparation of doctors of sciences and doctors of philosophy. 17 of them were approved. Those who addressed the persons were given appropriate recommendations on the design of the studies.
