Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Today in the electronic assembly hall of the Institute of Literature named after Nizami ANAS, the general meeting of the Division of Social Sciences (UN) was held.

Opening the event, Academician-Secretary of the division, corresponding member of ANAS Nargiz Akhundova noted that the meeting is devoted to discussing the scientific activity of registered candidates to active and corresponding membership of ANAS in the DSS.

Noting that there are 4 seats for the active members and corresponding members of the specialty "History", for active members in the specialty "Oriental Studies" - 1 place, for corresponding members in the specialties "Economics", "Philosophy" and "Psychology" - 1 place, Nargiz Akhundova noted that as a whole 36 candidates were registered.

At the meeting, Vice-President of ANAS, Director of the Nizami Institute of Literature, Academician Isa Habibbayli stressed that registered candidates have exceptional merits in the development of Azerbaijani science.

Then each candidate was informed in detail about his scientific activities and achievements.

In conclusion, an exchange of views took place regarding the presentations of the candidates.
