On April 11, at the Institute of Catalysis and Inorganic Chemistry, Thomson Reuters organized an educational seminar for the Institute's staff about the rules for using the "Web of Science" information platform.

Opening the event, Vice-President of ANAS, Director of the institute, Academician Dilgam Taghiyev recalled the agreement on cooperation signed between ANAS and Thomson Reuters in October 2016. Noting that according to the agreement, conditions for using the "Web of Science" information platform are created for scientific institutions of ANAS, D.Taghiyev added that the seminar will prove useful in terms of gaining experience in the field of access of scientists of the institute to the global scientific base.

At the seminar the Azerbaijani representative of the organization "Thomson Reuters" and the expert of this organization on scientific and information resources Aygun Babazade made a presentation. She said that the database contains databases for scientific publications, links, and scientific research.

A.Babazade also informed about the indicators of scientific journals on chemical sciences, levels of international links, and ways of effective use of search facilities on the site.

In conclusion, the participants' questions were responded.
