ANAS Institute of Manuscripts held “Nizami and Nevai” workshop on February 20, 2014.

Meeting with participation of delegates from Uzbekistan embassy, was opened by vice-president of ANAS acad. Isa Habibbayli and he spoke about the events attaching great importance in terms of Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan relations. He stressed out that, both genius persons are the faces who underlined the basis of Azerbaijan-Uzbek literary ties.

Acting director of the institute, Dr. Philology Teymur Karimli made speech on Nizami Ganjavi’s creativity and stated that, his creativity combined with the idea of heroism of our people with the love of homeland. Humanism is the key topic of Nizami Ganjavi's creativity, strongly influenced the development of literature of the Caucasus, the Middle East nations, and has been included in the world cultural treasure.

Consultant of the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Azerbaijan, Jahangir Aminov informed on current status of economic, cultural ties between Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan. A.Navoi who considered Nizami himself a teacher is known in the history as a poet writing “Khamsa” in Chagatai language, he noted.

Dr. Philology, professors - Vagif Arzumanli, Mehdi Kazimov, Mohsun Naghisoylu and others reported in the event and glanced at various aspects of A.Nevai and N. Ganjavi’s performances.
