Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Melek Chakhmak, Head of the Communication and Partnership Office of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of United Nations in Azerbaijan visited at the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS.

Director of the Institute, Academician Telman Aliyev greeted the guest about the research projects carried out in the scientific institution in recent years on "The project of intelligent seismoacoustic warning system for the excitation of seismic processes in the region".

The meeting discussed the existing ties and prospects for cooperation between the two structures. Also in the framework of cooperation with FAO with the aim of reducing the risks of natural disasters in reservoirs, a proposal was proposed to create an intelligent seismoacoustic warning system for seismic processes in the region.

It should be noted that, the proposed project envisages the use of scientific results of ANAS Institute of Geophysics and Geology and Republican Center of Seismological Serviry, including the LIDAR system proposed by the National Academy of Aviation.
